- Saturday September 29, 2007 the will be a community project arranged by the Sturgis Business Alliance. We will be cleaining the S curves area of Sturgis. All interested parties should meet at the Freedom Memorial located at the East end of the Soccer Fields at 8:30 am

Groups involved will be BLM, City, SBA volunteers and any others that show up

Clean up garbage in creek area, cut dead trees, cut dead shrubs, haul items to appropriate areas
Indications are that BLM will burn the timber

The following items will be supplied: Bags, 5 gal buckets for picking up garbage, latex gloves, some rubber gloves that are chemical resistant, some pick up sticks for garbage but city needs returned, a bobcat, city equipment as needed, trash totters, and lunch

What we need to supply: People power, gloves, chain saws – BLM may have their fire crew there but we may want more to get done, tow ropes, pick ups, log chains, trimmers, business to supply drinks

- There will be a meeting for all people interested in creating a "fair" sign ordinance Thursday October 4, 2007 at 7 pm in the Auditorium of the Sturgis Community Center. This meeting is being sponsored by the Sturgis Business Alliance.
